Japan Holidays (Day12-Day15_Hakone-Tokyo-Return)

13 APR 2018 : Day#12 (Hakone-Tokyo)
  • We took the train back to Tokyo looked for the ab&b home we booked. We stayed with the owner this time. He's always out for works and we seldom meet. Only had some short chats.
  • Managed to find his home in Edogawa area. Just few minutes walk from Nishi-Kasai Station and got ourselves settled down quickly. Went out for late lunch and walked  to nearby Daiso and some cycling items if there is for some mini shopping. Need to get a towel as well since this home does not provide towel. Either that or we couldn't find it. Got home after we had our light dinner then slept early for early Tsukiji market and shopping the next day.
14 APR 2018 : Day#13 (Tsukiji, Tokyo)
  • We heard news of the Tsukiji Market to be closed down in October 2018. So this is a must destination to visit. Especially the freshest sushi ever place to visit. This was even better than the one we had in Kyoto. The sea urchin is really really good.
  • This is the set we had in Tsukiji Market at Bentomi's. We wanted to go to some recommended place nearby by a friend. But by the time we reached, it was overly crowded. So we saw Bentomi without a queue and there's only 2 of us so it's great. We went in immediately. Chef recommended us the Sakura Set. But instead we took the Sakura Special cos we were already hungry and we hadn't had anything for breakfast. Every single piece of sushi is a melt in your mouth and had its individuality. Then this was not enough for the two of us. We then ordered the Sakura set. which is half the size of the below picture. This is a taste not to be forgotten.

Sakura Special
  • We then make our way to the nearest train station and went straight to Akihabara then to Shibuya for shopping.
  • At the end of the day we had our haul of plastic models, local delicacies, Japanese curry to bring back home for sharing.
  • Hubby asked me to get the Gundam SD for my beginner trial. Then also gotten the One Piece pirate ships Going Merry and Thousand Sunny. 😍
  • We got home early so that we can do some packing and rest early for a whole day in Disney Sea next day.
14 APR 2018 : Day#13 (Disney Sea, Tokyo)
Woke up 5am in the morning to get ready and move out to catch the first of evrything. To our despair, it started to drizzle. I brought along my umbrella so we are still safe. Took the train to Kasai then the next thing on arrival was heavy rain that comes with wind. OMG 😱. Tried using the umbrella but to to avail. It just overturned and you can see alot of flying umbrellas all around. No choice. Went and bought a poncho at the nearest 7-11. Put it on, walked to the bus stop and queue in a long line waiting for the bus going to Maihama Station.      Not to forget this is the first day of Disney Japan's 35th Anniversary Celebration. Seriously the day before was okay apart from the light rain and drizzle in between. But this day was bad. Waited an hour plus under the rain  for the bus.
Upon arrival at The entrance of Disney Sea, everyone has already entered. We saw lots of Disney maps flying around. Birds having difficulty to find shed too. Wind was blowing heavily. We couldn't take any pictures with this weather condition. Went in and find a place where we can get ourselves dry up, take our snacks, and queue at the same time since all queues should be very long by then.
First stop was the toy story ride and shooting game. From the entrance board, it mentions that this is the first ever interactive game ride in the world. 🤔 By the time we finished our first ride, it turned sunny but still windy. All of our clothes had already dried up too.
We quickly got into the second ride. Since we saw the queue was short. In the beginning we thought it was some sort of a 3D motion ride. After we reached the so called  penthouse of the spooky mansion with a scenic view of the whole Disney Sea, I went oh sh*t 🤬😱. I realised that this is going to be the drop. Before I could tell my hubby, we began the drop and he grab hold of my arm so tight that I can't feel the drop but pain in my arms. I had to quickly get his grip off my arms to move it to the handle next to the chair. That was crazy. 🤯. After we got out of the ride, only we read the signboard, NOT FOR people with heart problems or medical conditions. 😮😶
Of course we took most of the rides except for the kids ride, some was closed in the morning due to weather conditions so waited until it reopened in the afternoon and joined the queue again.
The Broadway music and stage musical was good. Broadway was in English, and the other stage musical was in Japanese which was sponsored by the Japan Airlines Group. We even watched the water parade. They'd even had a very good crowd control. They will stop anyone from taking pictures and videos to avoid from blocking the others.
Ate our packed onigiri for lunch and bought the snacks from the stands. Then we had burgers for dinner. Thought that there'll be fireworks for the night. Due to weather condition and safety reasons, it was cancelled. 😢. Then I was busy looking for the 35th Anniversary Disney key chain for souvenirs.
On our way back we overshot by a station. Since we still felt full from the dinner, and it was already the last night in Japan, we felt that we are going to miss it very much. So we decided to walk to our transit station. Then we walked by a 100yen Family Mart. Wow. Everything is 100yen. I bought soba noodles and more stuff to bring home. 😝
When we reached ab&b home, the house owner was hoping to get a drink with us in the afternoon. But too bad, he needs to work the next day and we need to go off too. Owner was really hospitable. Did our final packing up and clean up the remaining snacks and the place and got very tired and also slept off at 11pm. Did I mention before that in Japan I get sleepy and drowsy by 9pm whereas Malaysian time is only 8pm. I really did struggle to stay awake for the packing.

15 APR 2018 : Day#14 Departure
This is the last day in Japan. We departed early for airport. Nothing much that we did apart from buying some local SAKE at the Narita Airport.
